Ravenfield's gameplay is a first-person shooter, with the player taking the role of the protagonist. Person can collect weapons, ammo and health supplies from crates and kill hordes of zombies. Gameplay is smooth, with no lag or glitches experienced. Gameplay is immersive, with the player's attention being on the world around them, not on the interface. Players are given the ability to plan their own movements with the ability to strafe or go prone.
